Baazigar
Baazigar director Abbas-Mustan wanted to cast Salman Khan in the film but after his refusal SRK did. Salman later explained why he rejected the film he said he had no regret of losing this film his dad felt that since Baazigar had a story of a negative character, makers should add an angle of the mother in it. After Abbas-Mustan didn’t agree with Salman Khan. It is reported that filmmakers then added the mother angle later.
DDLJ
This film is one of the best films of Shahrukh’s career because after doing this film, he did more than one romantic film. Significantly, before Shahrukh, this film was offered to Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan, but talks could not be made with both actors.
Kal Ho Na Ho
Shahrukh’s Khan fans always sing the songs from the film ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. you might not be aware that Salman Khan was initially offered a second lead role in the film. As SRK was already in the movie, it is reported that Salman Khan rejected the offer then Saif Ali Khan played in the film.
Chak De India
Salman Khan when asked why he was rejected Chak De India. Actor said he had an issue with the climax of the movie. He said producer Aditya Chopra had told me ‘I will make it the biggest hit and you don’t know what you are missing out on.’ Significantly, this film was highly praised and the theaters were crowded.
