Many fans and and fellow comedians across the country took to social media to express their shock and pay tribute to some of Sexton’s performances over the years.
Absolute legend. Growing up in Indy my drives to school with dad were always made better when the phone would ring on Bob & Tom and it’d be Donnie Baker. Big reason why I always wanted to do what I do today. I’m very sad. RIP, Ron 🙏🏼 https://t.co/YrS1If9ysn

Since I was in HS @bobandtom been part of my life. My late uncle loved them, & we bonded over their skits & humor. Donnie Baker (Ron) was a huge part, & a needed joy to a sometimes dark world their show provides an escape, I swear to God he did! (obligatory must use phase).#RIP https://t.co/P8gtfmGFOt

Great talent. Better person. Helped me early on with my comedy stand-up at Dave “The King” Wilson’s comedy joint in Greenwood. Ron was experimenting with “Donnie Baker” at that time. https://t.co/Vnsw7OzV1y
